About Palmer Law Services

Attorney Palmer attended public schools in Greenwood, and in 1994, he graduated 3rd in his class from Greenwood High School.  

In 1998, he earned a degree in English/Pre-law from Tougaloo College and graduated with highest honors. In 2002, Attorney Palmer obtained his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. In May 2010, he earned his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Mississippi Valley State University.

From 2002-2004, Attorney Palmer worked as a law clerk with the Mississippi Court of Appeals in Jackson under the Honorable Tyree Irving. He then worked for three years in private practice in Greenwood. Attorney Palmer was a solo practitioner from 2007—2015. He presently practices law with his wife at Palmer Law Services, LLC, which has offices in downtown Greenwood and Grenada, Mississippi.

Attorney Palmer has served as Justice Court Judge for the Southern District of Leflore County since 2005. He has served as municipal judge of Greenwood, Mississippi and the supervisor of its Drug Court since 2011. Attorney Palmer served as municipal judge for the City of Itta Bena from 2008-2012. Attorney Palmer also presently serves as Board Attorney for Sunflower County Consolidated School District, Clarksdale Municipal School District, and City of Itta Bena, Mississippi.

From 2007-2011, Attorney Palmer taught 11th and 12th grade social studies at Leflore County High School and 6th grade math at Leflore County Elementary School, where he also coached girl's softball and boys football, basketball, and baseball.

Attorney Palmer also gives back to his community. Since 2009, he has given annual book scholarships to graduating high school seniors totaling over $20,000. Attorney Palmer also annually sponsors and coaches Little League baseball and women’s softball teams. 

 

Attorney Palmer is a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Hart Elks Lodge #640, Leflore Masonic Lodge #342, Edward S. Baker Consistory #145, Hira Shriners’ Temple #131, United Supreme Council 33°, Gamma Nu Boulé of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, numerous legal and judicial organizations, and is a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Born Tangala LaNiece Hollis in Jackson, MS, Attorney Hollis is the youngest of three children. Her parents are Sylvester and Deloris S. Hollis. Attorney Hollis graduated with honors from Murrah High School (Jackson, MS) in 2002. She then attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA on an academic scholarship. Subsequent to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Attorney Hollis completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/Pre-Law at Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Attorney Hollis earned her law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May of 2009. She then began her law career at Moore Law Group, P.C. (then, Moore Law Office, PLLC) in Grenada, MS. After working with that firm for three years, Attorney Hollis was promoted to Junior Partner. She remained with Moore Law Group, P.C. until September of 2015. In January of 2016, Attorney Hollis joined Palmer Law Services, LLC, partnering with her husband, Attorney Carlos D. Palmer of Greenwood, MS. Attorney Hollis manages the Grenada, MS office, while her husband, Carlos, manages the Greenwood, MS office.  

Attorney Hollis and her husband, Carlos, have two children, Courtney Danielle and Carlos II. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association; National Bar Association; Grenada County Bar Association; Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association; and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Beta Delta Omega Chapter. She presently serves as the Board Attorney for the Boys and Girls Club of Grenada and the Town of Coffeeville, Mississippi.

Amber is the daughter of Tracee Stanley and the late Vince Cox. Amber is the mother of two wonderful daughters, Aubrey and Paisley.

Amber is a native of Greenwood, MS. Amber attended Amanda Elzy High School in Greenwood, MS. After high school, she attended Delta Technical College where she received her license and certifications to become a dental assistant. She furthered her education at Mississippi Valley State University, where she is a senior majoring in Business and Biology. With her degree, she plans on becoming a superintendent in a school district in her hometown.

Amber is currently the executive assistant for Attorney Carlos Palmer and his wife, Attorney Tangala Hollis in Greenwood and Grenada, MS. She is a member of Epsilon Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
